Welcome to THE UNKILLABLES™, and remember to have fun.

Welcome to THE UNKILLABLES™, home of the greatest players in the world since August 2015. However, what makes us the greatest has very little to do with impressive feats, speeds or scores. Now, rest assured, dozens of THE UNKILLABLES™ either currently hold or formerly held several World Record scores or speed times, top 10, top 5, definitely some world elite stuff in some games.

But what makes an UNKILLABLE™ player is the ability to do two things: the first is to finish a game front to back in either a single credit or without a single death – ever play CONTRA with the 30 life code? Well, some of our players can beat it without dying once.

The second UNKILLABLE™ requirement is possibly even more challenging – keeping it about the play and organic community building. Ever visited an online gaming community where everybody despises each other and gets into e-fights that have nothing to do with the games? Well, that’s what makes us different. For 6 years (so far), THE UNKILLABLES™ has been about nothing but the gameplay. There is no room for petty arguments, false accusations or insulting another player’s ability here. Which brings us to another point:

THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL RECORD KEEPING SITE.

Now, that is not to say that records aren’t occasionally set here. Quite the contrary; some players set records in one form or another on a regular basis, whether it’s an unprecedented score or speed. But if “record breaking” is your primary focus, then you might be in the wrong place. You know something else? A lot of those other entities out there might also be the wrong place.

We in THE UNKILLABLES™ think that you the player are, quite frankly, tired of having your intelligence insulted. You ever notice how some places have “World Record” scores and you can immediately go to Youtube and find a score that’s twice as high? Yeah, yeah, there are methods and tricks and “less than legitimate” tactics out there for some games, but that’s not really the focus here. Show us what you’ve got, just be sure you’re transparent about it at the outset. Don’t say you didn’t use save states when you did, for instance. Don’t say you played on a cab when you played on MAME. Just say which route you went and you’ll be fine; this is a judgment free zone. Did you do a run on a burned Dreamcast disc, EverDrive or Retropie Gamestation? Just specify that at the outset, show your run in full and you’re fine! But if you REALLY want to do an official run, we’re always willing to feature you, and if you’re playing on a cab, you should go to The Galloping Ghost Arcade and do a recorded run over there. It’s one of the best places in the world. But that’s a whole other blog style post.

Keep in mind, we’re still growing and always looking for new blood. Which brings me to another point:

ALWAYS SEEK OUT NEW TALENT FOR THIS COMMUNITY.

There are some amazing players out there, but there are also lots of up and coming players who are rising to the challenge. This is the place to invite that new blood, and always be sure to help your fellow players develop and reach new skill levels. Another skill is equally as important: community building.

RECORDS ARE SET AND BROKEN, BUT FRIENDSHIP IS FOREVER.

Something you’re sure to find out is that THE UNKILLABLES™ is full of really high quality human beings AND world elite players male and female, all at once. Be kind to the community and it will be kind to you. Just be sure to help each other out in setting any kind of record, feat or score, because transparency in tactics in here is bound to get you some respect and friends out of the process. This is a kind of family, and it will only get larger.
